Tower in Gothic Quarter: Bohemian Hostel for Backpackers Competition
This project, designed for a Bohemian Hostel for Backpackers competition in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, introduced a striking 100-meter tower that utilized a catenary curve to stand out in the historic cityscape. The design provided all necessary comforts for a backpacker hostel and aimed to create a new city icon. This innovative approach earned the project an honorable mention.
Los Gabrieles House Renovation
This renovation project on a modern two-family house involved adding an additional volume on top to expand one of the units. House in the Forest

Lanzarote Music Center
This project transforms an old water tank within the rugged stone walls on Lanzarote, Canary Islands, into a music school. Inspired by local viticulture techniques, where molten lava rocks shield grapevines from intense winds, this design uses similar protective strategies to enhance the school's structure and acoustics, harmoniously blending tradition with function.
Tibidabo House Renovation
This project involved a complete redesign of a two-story modern house, redefining everything from the floors to the roof. Traditional materials were reimagined, such as terrazzo flooring laid out in a barcode pattern using shades of gray, black, and white, adding contemporary significance to classic elements. The redesign also extended to outdoor areas, featuring a newly defined swimming pool, enhancing the home's leisure and aesthetic appeal.
Le Corbusier's Capitol intervention
This project aims to complete the Chandigarh Capitol, adhering faithfully to Le Corbusier's modern architectural language and materials. Wellington Cultural Center
This project in Wellington, New Zealand, designed an iconic public space connecting the city boulevard to the beach. The multi-level structure houses an art gallery at street level, a restaurant halfway down to the beach, and an auditorium halfway up, creating a dynamic hub of culture and leisure that enhances the urban landscape.

The interior renovation of the Fundación Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho building updated six floor plans, each over 560 square meters. Banco Nacional de Ahorro y Préstamo Building Renovation
This project entailed a comprehensive interior renovation of the Banco Nacional de Ahorro y Préstamo (BANAP) building, transforming eight floors, each over 150 square meters. The massive overhaul included a new layout and modern furniture, revitalizing the space to meet contemporary office needs and enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, the facade was redesigned as part of the renovation to improve ecological building sustainability.
TATE in Space, Art gallery in outer space
Building on his earlier proposal for the Tate Modern Gallery competition, Manuel Alejandro Carballo Amat's final thesis project expanded the concept into a fully realized Space Gallery. TATE in Space, Student international Architecture Competition
The image presented illustrates Manuel Alejandro Carballo Amat's concept for the 2003 Tate Modern Gallery competition, where he was awarded the position of 1st finalist. Envisioning the next Tate gallery in outer space, his design is inspired by the Möbius strip. The structure elegantly twists through the void, creating an infinite surface that challenges traditional architectural limits in a zero-gravity environment.
